Rev. Robert Powe was born in Chesterfield County to the late Mamie Powe. He has 9 siblings one which is his fraternal twin, Richard Powe. Rev. Powe was educated in the public schools of Chesterfield County and graduated from Cheraw High School in 1975.  It was in 1975 that Rev. Powe heard the voice of the Lord, saying, who shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I; send me (Isaiah 6:8). Rev. Powe obediently answered the call and preached his initial sermon in 1976.  He was then issued a Certificate of License. Rev. Powe was ordained at his home church, Goodman Creek in Cheraw SC in 1980 after being called to pastor his first church Mt. Level Baptist Church in Chesterfield SC.

In 1988 Rev. Powe accepted the call to become the sixteenth (16th) pastor of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Clio SC. Under his leadership the spirit of the Lord began to move in Ebenezer, souls were saved and the membership grew exponentially. 

Rev. Robert Powe is a pastor and confidante to many but he is also a husband and a father.  He is married to the former Miss Linda Johnson and resides in Morven, NC. They have been married for thirty-one (31) years. They are the proud parents of two (2) children, a daughter Shondra Marquita Powe and a son Robert Deltwan Powe.  Although Rev. and Mrs. Powe only have 2 biological children they are considered mom and dad to people near and far, old and young alike.
